Why buy a real Christmas tree?
- Christmas trees are generally grown as a crop, and for every tree harvested growers will have planted at least 1 tree, ensuring the production is sustainable.
- Christmas tree plantations are a wonderful haven for a wide variety of wild life, from the smallest insects up to large mammals.
- Christmas trees benefit the environment by removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. One acre of trees provides enough daily oxygen for at least 18 people. Two and a half acres of Christmas Trees will absorb 6 tonnes of carbon dioxide each year

In comparison ...
- Artificial trees are non bio-degradable.
- Making artificial trees uses large quantities of liquid fossil fuels and generally they are made in countries where there are very few environmental controls on emissions of noxious gases, and then they are transported half way round the world – using yet more fossil fuel.
- If burnt an artificial tree will produce noxious gases.
To Summarise:
Real trees are a renewable resource / Artificial trees will last up to 5 years, but also a life time in landfill sites.
